In Couple's Spotlight, News

Einstein Bros in Warrensburg, Missouri was where Kate Smith and Brian Kennison first met while they both were attending The University of Central Missouri. Shortly after that, they took the next step and went on their first date. Where? The movie theater in Warrensburg. Kate had won some movie tickets at a basketball game so a movie it was! And so it all began…

Now, picture this…It was the Fourth of July weekend and they were vacationing at Virginia Beach. One morning, they woke up early to enjoy a nice cup of coffee on the beach while watching the beautiful sunrise. They were just about to head back to where they were staying so they could get ready for the day when Brian said, “I wish we could do this every day.” Kate’s response was, “Well, we can, eventually.” Without hesitation, Brian said, “Then let’s do it!” and preceded to get down on one knee and propose. Can’t you just hear the waves rolling onto the beach! Now, that’s a great way to start your morning!

Kate and Brian said the thing that they are most looking forward to about marriage is, “Spending a lifetime together and all of the memories that will come along the way.” As for what makes them so excited about getting married at Fresh Air Farm, they said, “We couldn’t have picked a venue that was more us.” They are SO ready to celebrate their marriage while enjoying the great outdoors! After they tie the knot on the farm, they will then be stepping out onto the string lit patio to take their first dance as husband and wife. The song they chose is Golden by Lady Antebellum. They both knew what the song would be right off the bat! Kate told Brian it reminded her of him when they first started dating and it has stuck ever since. Kate said the thing she loves the most about Brian is that he brings out the very best version of her. Brian said his favorite thing about Kate is that he can truly be himself around her. Sounds like they are smitten! I can see why there are wedding bells in the near future…and by future I mean this Saturday!

After riding off into the sunset…well by then it will be a gorgeous starlit night hehe…their happily ever after consists of, “continuously learning more about each other, celebrating life’s ups and downs, and growing old together.”

Congratulations you two!!!
