We have all heard about high school sweethearts, but this couples love story has become so much more than that! Jordan, who is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and Tyler, who is from Phoenix, Arizona will have been dating for just two days’ shy of seven years on the day of their wedding! They are the sweetest, most caring couple and have been an absolute joy! They are now living in Lenexa, Kansas where Jordan is a Software Engineer and Tyler is an Electrical Engineer.
Now…for the stuff dreams are made of!!!
No one would have known how important the location of their first date together would have been, but, as time went by, it ended up playing an integral role in their love story. The Overland Park Arboretum is where it all began. If you haven’t been there, you must go! It’s a wonderful place to visit whether you have 30 minutes or hours to spend. Imagine beautiful gardens, winding paths, luscious trees, and a tranquil pond. Now, that you have the backdrop set in your mind, throw in these two who are head over heels in love with each other and add in the fact that it’s Jordan’s birthday. In the days leading up to Jordan’s birthday, Tyler informed her that he had a big birthday surprise planned for her. So, on her birthday, she decided that she wanted to get donuts for breakfast (such a great choice!). Tyler then, nonchalantly, suggested that they have a picnic at the Arboretum. Once they got there, they walked to their stone bench that they had been going to for over six years. Nothing out of the ordinary thus far… When Jordan reached the bench she immediately noticed something new… There was a plaque that had never been there before, located right on the front of the bench. The plaque read “I’ll love you until this bench crumbles. Forever and always, My Pretty Girl – T&J”. Upon realizing that Tyler had done this, Jordan became completely and utterly overwhelmed. She then collapsed onto the bench and as soon as she could clear the tears from her eyes, she saw that Tyler was down on one knee! Now, that has to be one of the sweetest stories I’ve heard! So personal, so perfect, so… THEM!
This Saturday, these two will once again be embracing their love for one another in the great outdoors, but this time it will be right here at the farm. When asked what they were looking forward to the most about getting married here they said “How gorgeous it is going to be! Every way you look it is beautiful!”. Their first dance will be to a song that Tyler decided on, which is ‘Dance Me to the End of Love’ by Civil War. Following the wedding and reception, they will be spending a week relaxing on the beach in St. Lucia! Sounds absolutely fabulous!
As for their happily ever after, they are looking forward to putting the finishing touches on their house so they can really make it their own because they love hosting parties and spending time with their friends.
Cheers to Tyler and Jordan and their happily ever after!
