In Couple's Spotlight, News

12 years ago, our beautiful bride, Julianna Hegner moved from Manassas, Virginia to Overland Park, Kansas with her family. 16 years ago, our sweet groom, Brandon Masner moved from Hartville, Missouri to Lenexa, Kansas. Thus the frame work had been laid!

They ended up meeting on an online dating site called Chemistry.com. After talking for 2 weeks, they decided to go on their first date! Vio’s Italian restaurant was where they decided to go and after a wonderful dinner, they spent a long evening at Starbucks talking. That was all they needed and the rest is history!

One and a half years after that first date, Brandon made his next move and planned a date to propose. He had it all planned out but due to his excitement, he ended up jumping the gun and proposing a week early! Too cute! He took Julianna to her favorite Mexican restaurant and then right as she was about to get out of the car he said “I need to talk to you”…. Julianna, of course, thought she was in trouble but Brandon smoothly pulled out the ring and proposed! Whew! Those are never good words to hear, but in this case, it was perfect!

Julianna is a Registered Veterinary Technician and currently works at the Olathe Animal Hospital. Brandon works for Time Warner Cable Business Class & also for ISPN as an IT tech. Julianna’s favorite thing about Brandon is “his kind spirit and how he is always willing to help anyone out”. He also “treats her like a princess”. Way to go Brandon! Brandon’s favorite thing about Julianna is “her kindness towards people and animals and that she has a loving smile”.

They will be dancing together, as husband and wife for the first time, under the café string lights to “Love You Like That” by Canaan Smith. Julianna picked this lovely tune out for this special moment because “it’s a beautiful song and perfect for Brandon and I”. As for the rest of their big day, they are looking forward to getting married here at Fresh Air Farm because “it’s a reflection of who we are”. Brandon is from the country and Julianna loves the outdoors, welp we’ve got that nailed! They describe themselves as “laid back and easy going, so the barn seems perfect for that atmosphere”. I would have to agree!

And as husband and wife? They are planning a honeymoon for next spring! They are also very excited to spend as much time as possible with each other. Their happily ever after is “being able to live life together and most importantly to have fun”. They are both avid animal lovers, they enjoy going to Chiefs games, working on their house, and they would like to eventually start a family.

Here’s to their next step in their journey together!
